Bayou Fasteners was started in 1990 by Wesley Hughes who had worked in the field for 25 years.Wesley launched Bayou Fasteners from the basement of his Saraland home and today the company employs six people and is housed in a 16,000 square foot facility.
“We specialize in service,” explained Matt Hughes, warehouse manager and Wesley’s son. “We offer same day and hot rush delivery at no additional cost and our prices are always competitive. We service our customers better.”
In 2007, the Wesley’s sons bought the business from him. Wes heads inside sales; Jason handles both inside and outside sales, and Matt is warehouse manager. Debra Hughes, Wesley’s wife, is company secretary and Paul Kervin handles the accounts department. Wesley serves as a consultant for the business he started.
